After someone has passed away, grieving is only natural to follow. When someone is grieving, the best thing you can do is let them express themselves and try to say calm and loving words to show your support and sympathy. Don’t be brash and tell someone to get over their feelings as it will make the person feel worse. The best thing you can do is to talk with the grieving person in a soft and caring tone, and maybe even share some fond memories of the departed person to try and help them feel better.
I'm so sad to hear about your loss
(someone) will be missed by many
