Finding out that someone has cancer is a life-changing moment. If someone tells you that they have cancer, ask them when they found out and how they feel about it. Offer them words of support that show you care and that you will be there for them throughout the whole experience. If you find out that their cancer is terminal, do not break down then and there, but tell the person that you will make their time left some of the best time they had, and simply tell them you care for them and will be there for them always.
I am here for you. Call me if you need anything
I don’t know what to say, but I am here for you
I am here to listen to you. You can talk to me. About anything
You are always in my prayers
Heard what happened and I want to tell you I was hoping I’d see you because I want you to know I will be there for you
What is the worst part of this for you and how can I help make that a bit easier for you?
How is it affecting your day-to-day life and what part of that can I help you with?
I’m glad you have true friends who are sticking by you at this time
Cancer doesn’t know whom it has come up against. Show it hell, man
I honestly don’t know what to say. I love you
You’re strong. You can do this. I trust you
What are you thinking about? You can talk to me
Just wanted to let you know how much I care about you
Just wanted to let you know I’m proud to call you my friend. You’ve got this greatness around you. You can get through this
I’m wishing for you to have a smile on your face because you have put a smile on my face so many times in the past
You are a source of inspiration to me even as you face this challenge
My hope for you is that you’ll be as well as you can possibly be
